这项警告是1986年加利福尼亚州通过的法律的结果，称为加州安全饮用水和1986年的毒性执法法案，或者更普遍称为“命题65.”It is a list of over 850 chemicals that continues to grow every year and accomplishes very little since most consumers in California just ignore the warnings. If you are curious, visit the officialOEHHA website。
因为Prox Live PerformanceGear®is a Global company it is impossible to know which particular products may end up in California for retail sales. Because we feel strongly about being in compliance with all State and Federal Regulations, we include this warning with our products.
What is Proposition 65 in California
Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals.
California warns all residents that a cup of coffee might cause cancer. A judge ruled earlier this year that the warnings were necessary as coffee contains a tiny dose of a chemical called acrylamide and therefore might be associated with increased cancer risk. The American Cancer Society says on its website: "The Prop 65 labels only tell you that a product has something in it that might cause cancer or affect reproduction. They don't say what the substance is, where it is in the product, how you might be exposed to it, what the level of risk is, or how to reduce your exposure."
